In an exciting development for Wisconsin football, transfer specialist Andrew Goodman has officially joined the team as of Friday.

This redshirt junior long snapper comes to Wisconsin after spending the 2024 season as a walk-on at Tulane, where he didn’t see any action on the field. His journey has also included experiences at both Simon Fraser (Division II) and Bryant (Football Championship Subdivision).

Goodman marks Wisconsin’s sixth transfer addition this spring and is the second long snapper to join, following Purdue transfer Nick Levy. He is also the second player to migrate from Tulane, joining winter recruit Parker Petersen. Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Goodman expressed his desire to “move a little closer to home” when selecting Wisconsin as the next step in his career.

The seasoned long snapper is set to vie for a starting position in 2026, with Levy currently holding the starter role heading into 2025. Over the last three years, Levy has been a pivotal player, starting 36 games—24 at William & Mary (FCS) between 2022-23 and 12 last season at Purdue.

For now, other specialist roles within Wisconsin’s roster remain consistent with the 2024 lineup. Veteran kicker Nathanial Vakos will return to lead the kicking efforts, while 2024 standout Atticus Bertrams is poised to keep his spot as the starting punter.
