Season two of Fallout has officially wrapped, and what a journey it has been! To mark this milestone, actor Walton Goggins took a rather unconventional approach by peeling off his prosthetic skin in a humorous post. While I can think of countless other festive ways to celebrate, Goggins certainly made a memorable statement!
Goggins brings to life the charismatic Ghoul on Amazon’s adaptation of Fallout, a character shaped by harsh radiation and unforgiving environments, hence the extensive prosthetic work required for his portrayal.
In a cheeky Instagram post, Goggins humorously shared his Ghoulish transformation, playfully tossing the skin layer towards the camera, showcasing his talent for blending horror with charm.
On a lighter note, co-star Ella Purnell, who plays the Vault dweller Lucy, celebrated the end of filming with a sweet photo. “aaaaand that’s a wrap on @falloutonprime Season 2, folks! 🤓,” she exuberantly shared, featuring a snapshot with her on-screen father, Kyle MacLachlan.
The official Fallout account chimed in, announcing, “Achievement unlocked! Fallout Season 2 has wrapped production.” They also shared Goggins’ skin-shedding moments, which truly captures the essence of the show—enjoy those wild moments below!
The inaugural season of Fallout was immensely successful for Amazon, leading to a swift renewal for a second season. Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy shared their enthusiasm, thrilled to “blow up the world all over again” for fans.
As for what lies ahead in season two, fans are in for a treat! Goggins has hinted that this season will surpass the first in excitement. New cast members stepping into the Fallout universe include the talented Kumail Nanjiani, portraying a high-ranking individual within the Brotherhood of Steel, and the beloved Macaulay Culkin, who will be seen as a quirky genius.
Filming for season two commenced in November, and just last month, Goggins shared a close-up of the prosthetic team’s meticulous work in dressing him for the role, showcasing how they transform him into the Ghoulish figure. Since then, several set leaks have teased fans with glimpses of iconic locations and familiar faces from the beloved Fallout video games.
However, the production faced challenges earlier this year when devastating wildfires swept through parts of Los Angeles, leading to disruptions. This unfortunate event not only impacted Fallout, but also affected various other Hollywood projects.
