Taylor Swift
Pulled Into Lively-Baldoni Legal Showdown
Published
Taylor Swift has recently found herself entwined in the escalating drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, and it’s not just a minor cameo—she’s been officially subpoenaed to testify.
Sources close to the matter have revealed to Nova Play that Baldoni’s legal representative, Bryan Freedman, has issued the subpoena, pulling Taylor deeper into this contentious legal battle between the two stars.
Swift’s representatives are pushing back against the subpoena, emphasizing that her role in the on-set turmoil of “It Ends With Us” was minimal, and certainly not enough to warrant her inclusion in this ongoing feud.
A representative for Taylor stated emphatically, “Taylor never went near the set of this film. She had no involvement in casting decisions or creative aspects, and she wasn’t even aware of the project until weeks after its release, all the while she was vigorously touring the globe.”

The spokesperson further explained, “The extent of Taylor’s involvement was limited to granting permission for her song, ‘My Tears Ricochet.’ This involvement is routine, as multiple artists also provided their music for the film. It feels like this subpoena is just an attempt to sensationalize the situation through her name, diverting attention from the legitimate matters at hand.”
However, Justin contends that Taylor played a more pivotal role than just lending a song; he claims she gave a green light for the casting of Isabela Ferrer as young Lily Bloom.
Adding fuel to the fire, the tension escalated during a crucial face-to-face meeting between Blake and Justin at her stunning New York City penthouse, where they hashed out a scene Blake had rewritten.
Justin claimed that the atmosphere during this meeting quickly became heated, making him feel cornered, especially with Blake’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, present along with Taylor.
For extra comedic relief in the aftermath, Blake cheekily texted Justin, playfully asserting herself as Khaleesi from “Game of Thrones,” claiming Taylor and Ryan were her loyal “dragons.” It seems even amidst discord, humor can emerge as a protective facet of their friendship.

Thus far, attempts to get a response from Freedman regarding the matter have been unsuccessful.
