As May rolls in, Xbox Game Pass unveils its exciting lineup for both Ultimate and Standard subscribers. This month is particularly packed, introducing several highly anticipated titles on day one, including Doom: The Dark Ages and Revenge of the Savage Planet.
Leading the charge is Doom: The Dark Ages, which takes the franchise’s iconic demon-slaying gameplay and catapults it into a medieval setting. Players can expect an enthralling journey that predates the events of the 2016 reboot, complete with an innovative huge shield mechanic. It’s shaping up to be quite remarkable. On the other hand, Revenge of the Savage Planet, the sequel to the humorous 2020 action-adventure Journey to the Savage Planet from Typhoon Studios, promises to maintain its whimsical essence. However, as noted in Nova Play’s review by Robert Purchase, it may not reach the same level of chaotic fun it aims for.
