This installment follows Mr. Wolf and his group of once-misguided thieves as they strive for redemption, battling the shadows of their notorious pasts.
In this vibrant sequel from DreamWorks Animation, our band of reformed antiheroes endeavors to embrace a life of integrity. However, their resolve is immediately tested when they find themselves caught up in a daring heist masterminded by a formidable new adversary known as The Bad Girls. This twist of fate puts their transformation in jeopardy, forcing them to navigate the thin line between right and wrong.
The film is adapted from the wildly successful series by Aaron Blabey, whose readership has surged dramatically from 8 million to an impressive 30 million copies since the first film’s launch in 2022. The Bad Guys 2 brings back its original ensemble, with Academy Award-winning star Sam Rockwell reprising his role as Mr. Wolf. Joining him are SAG Award nominees Marc Maron (Mr. Snake) and Craig Robinson (Mr. Shark), alongside an exciting cast that includes Grammy winner Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha and Emmy winner Awkwafina as Ms. Tarantula, affectionately known as “Webs.”
New characters will further spice up the storyline, with Danielle Brooks (A Minecraft Movie, The Color Purple) taking center stage as Kitty Kat, a crafty leader snow leopard. Also joining the lineup are Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova, voicing Pigtail, an adept Bulgarian wild boar engineer, and the inimitable Natasha Lyonne, who lends her wit to Doom, a tricky raven.
Familiar faces make comebacks as well: Zazie Beetz returns as Governor Diane Foxington, Richard Ayoade reprises his role as Professor Marmalade, and Alex Borstein now plays Commissioner Misty Luggins. Additionally, Lilly Singh adds flair as Tiffany Fluffit, a sensationalist journalist.
The freshly unveiled trailer hints at an intricate storyline where Mr. Wolf and his team must maneuver through challenges orchestrated by The Bad Girls. As they work to protect their fledgling reputations, these ex-villains face the daunting task of executing a complex plan while unwittingly sabotaging it from the inside.
