Receives Approval for Son’s Las Vegas Golf Tournament

Patrick Mahomes Sr. has been granted permission to be present at his son’s upcoming charitable golf tournament. According to reports from Nova Play Sports, officials in Texas have approved his attendance as Patrick Mahomes II embarks on a noble initiative.
The renowned Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is set to host the tournament at Shadow Creek Golf Course, kicking off on Wednesday, with the goal of raising funds for his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.
Earlier this month, Mahomes Sr. formally requested his probation officer’s approval to attend the event. His request was officially approved on May 7, allowing him to join the festivities.
It’s crucial to highlight that due to a plea agreement related to a 2024 DWI incident, Mahomes Sr. is required to file travel requests when he plans to leave Texas.
The 54-year-old former professional baseball player has announced that he will be in Las Vegas from Wednesday through Sunday, and he plans to comply with a urine test upon his return home on May 19.

This marks not the first time in 2025 that Mahomes Sr. has navigated this approval process. In March, he successfully sought and secured legal permission to travel to Minnesota for an autograph signing event, a testament to his dedication as the father of the Chiefs quarterback.
