The deeper she goes, the more terrifying truths she uncovers that jeopardize everything she cherishes. In this thrilling race against the clock, Nikki must rediscover the strength she thought she had lost to become the hero her daughter desperately needs.”
Produced by Bong-Seeb Mun in collaboration with Kenneth Kim and Bang-Ok Joo from Aanaxion Studio, Protector also sees contributions from Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier from Highland Film Group, along with martial arts expert and stunt coordinator Ho-Sung Pak. Highland Film Group is co-financing the project and will take charge of its global distribution. According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Protector is among a new wave of dynamic action films highlighted at the recent American Film Market, signaling an exciting revival of intense thrillers.
In an unexpected twist while promoting her latest project, In the Lost Lands, Jovovich hinted that her beloved character, Leeloo from The Fifth Element, could be set for an impressive return. During a lively conversation with Comicbook.com, she mentioned potentially reuniting with director Luc Besson, who may be working on a spin-off that includes many of his iconic characters. “I believe Luc is developing some type of spin-off featuring a range of his most memorable characters, and Leeloo might be among them—a cartoon version,” she noted. “At the time, our focus was entirely on creating the best film possible, rather than planning sequels. Leeloo was instrumental in shaping my career as an actress,” she reflected, stirring nostalgia among fans who hold her iconic role close to their hearts.
