For Tax Fraud Allegations

Reality TV star Memphis Garrett, famed for his participation in “Big Brother,” is currently facing serious legal challenges. Reports indicate he allegedly owes over $50,000 in state taxes connected to his various business operations in Florida.
Last Thursday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office took action on a warrant issued by the Florida Department of Revenue, leading to the arrest of 37-year-old Garrett. He remains behind bars under a bond of $15,000, which has not yet been cleared.
Documents reviewed by Nova Play indicate that Garrett, whose full name is Robert Garrett, faces serious allegations of second-degree felony offenses related to the theft of state funds.
The charges suggest that between November 2022 and October 2024, Garrett unlawfully collected a massive sum of $55,366.77 in sales taxes through his businesses, Poke House Lauderdale and No Man’s Land Miami LLC, without submitting these payments to the state.
As state authorities work to reclaim these funds, we have reached out to Memphis’s team for a response but have not yet received a reply.
This situation adds to a tumultuous period for Garrett, who recently endured a breakup with fellow “Big Brother” alum Christmas Abbott, with whom he parted ways in March 2024.
The details surrounding their breakup became more complicated when Abbott pursued a restraining order amid allegations of domestic violence; however, she later withdrew the request in May 2024.
Despite his ongoing business ventures, this episode raises concerns about Garrett’s ability to uphold his financial commitments effectively.
