In a striking turn of events, the beloved artist King Saha has decided to take a stand by pursuing legal action against TikTok personality Dr. Cephcoh, whose real name is Ismail Ssefuko. This decision comes after claims made by Cephcoh that Saha supposedly made defamatory statements on social media.
Through his legal team, Wamimba Advocates and Solicitors, Saha has delivered an official notice of intent to sue, stemming from a TikTok video posted by Dr. Cephcoh on May 5, 2025. In this controversial clip, Cephcoh accused King Saha of being responsible for damage to his silver Toyota Noah, bearing the registration number UBP 661Q.
However, Saha’s legal team asserts that these allegations are completely unfounded. They emphasize that the artist was in Japan at the time of the supposed incident, a fact corroborated by travel documents and a multitude of witnesses.
The formal legal notice outlines how Cephcoh’s video has caused severe damage to King Saha’s reputation, leading to public derision, emotional turmoil, and the risk of losing valuable professional opportunities. To address this damage, Saha demands a compensation of UGX 200 million within a week.
Beyond the monetary claim, Saha is also seeking a public apology from Cephcoh, along with a full retraction of the defamatory remarks across all platforms where the allegations were made, including TikTok and other social media channels.
The notice additionally warns Cephcoh to immediately halt any further disparaging comments about King Saha and to provide written confirmation of his compliance upon receipt of the legal notice.
