Jerry Seinfeld hasn’t shied away from expressing his opinions over the years. Recently, he stirred up conversation once more when he encountered a pro-Palestinian activist while heading to his car. The protester’s passionate calls for Palestinian freedom caught him off guard, yet his response was unexpected.
The encounter, captured by Nova Play, showed Seinfeld, who identifies as Jewish, being approached by the activist just before he entered his vehicle. Instead of taking the situation seriously, he simply laughed at the protester’s impassioned plea of “Free Palestine.”
As the activist intensified her argument, alleging that Seinfeld was complicit in what she described as the genocide of children in Gaza, he continued to chuckle. He pointed at her and quipped, “Only you,” reflecting a lighthearted approach to a serious topic.
Maintaining a carefree demeanor, Seinfeld flashed a peace sign before climbing into his car. His lack of a serious reaction seemed to indicate a dismissive attitude towards the pressing humanitarian issues unfolding in Gaza.
This latest incident is merely part of Seinfeld’s ongoing interaction with pro-Palestinian activists. Historically, he has met such confrontations with a cavalier attitude, as evidenced by his past declaration, “I don’t care about Palestine,” which he humorously incorporated into a comedy show.
Seinfeld’s brashness doesn’t stop with hecklers; he notably expressed his disinterest in Palestinian issues during a previous stand-up performance, where he even wove an activist’s interruption into his routine. This strategy highlights his readiness to confront dissent directly.

Both Seinfeld and his wife, Jessica, have openly supported Israel, even traveling internationally to meet with families impacted by the hostage crisis following the events of October 7, 2023. Their commitment to their perspective remains steadfast, despite facing backlash.
