Attention, gaming enthusiasts! The much-anticipated launch of Stellar Blade on PC is just around the corner, set for next month. This exciting news emerged following a brief, unintentional trailer that was posted on the PlayStation YouTube channel before being quickly removed.
Originally announced in February, the PC version of this eagerly awaited title didn’t have a confirmed release date until now. Players can circle June 11th on their calendars. Stellar Blade will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, providing an immersive experience for gamers across these platforms.
This PC version isn’t simply a straightforward adaptation; it features a range of impressive upgrades. Gamers can look forward to an unlocked framerate, enhanced environment textures, advanced capabilities with DLSS 4 and FSR 3, as well as compatibility with ultrawide monitors, elevating the gaming experience significantly!
But wait, there’s more! Gamers can also look forward to a thrilling new boss battle featuring the powerful cyber warrior, Mann. To further personalize their gameplay, the protagonist Eve will receive an impressive array of 25 new costumes.
The release promises to include a host of additional content, showcasing elements from the console version, such as the renowned NieR: Automata DLC and a robust photo mode. This feature allows players to capture and immortalize their favorite in-game moments.
Additionally, there is more DLC on the way associated with Shift Up’s notable title, Goddess of Victory: Nikke, which is expected to launch alongside the PC version—and there’s hope for it to make its way to PC as well. Although this specific detail wasn’t mentioned in the leaked trailer, make sure to check out the stunning visuals in the video linked above!
In a financial update earlier this year, Shift Up expressed strong confidence in the sales potential of the PC version. They stated, “In the competitive landscape of AAA games, PC platforms have consistently outperformed consoles. Hence, we foresee the PC edition outperforming the console version,” adding that they are closely monitoring trends, particularly the prominent expansion of the single-player action genre in the Asian gaming market.
As an added bonus, Stellar Blade has recently received a PS5 Pro patch just in time for the console’s launch, which Digital Foundry has heralded as a remarkable enhancement. Soon, fans will have the opportunity to see how the PC version compares against its console peers.
