Counter-Strike 2 Update Introduces Weekly Missions And Map Adjustments

Exciting times are here for fans of Counter-Strike 2, as Valve unveils a game-changing update that introduces weekly missions and a slew of other enhancements!

Players can easily discover the new weekly missions through the main or play menu. Each mission is designed to last for a week, adding a fresh layer of urgency to your gameplay. Completing these objectives will earn you valuable XP, making each play session feel rewarding.

But that’s not all! The Counter-Strike 2 team has diligently revamped the game’s map offerings. In a clean sweep, they have removed the following community maps from all game modes:

  • Basalt
  • Edin
  • Palais
  • Whistle

In place of the removed maps, players can now explore three exciting new community maps included in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes:

Additionally, Wingman mode welcomes two new battlegrounds to enhance your 2v2 experience:

As the team fine-tunes the gameplay, they’ve also restructured the Casual and Deathmatch map groups for optimal play:

  • Defusal Group Alpha: Dust 2, Mirage, Inferno, Vertigo.
  • Defusal Group Delta: Train, Anubis, Ancient, Overpass, Nuke.
  • Community Map Group: Jura, Grail, Agency.
  • Hostage Group: Office, Italy.
