In a shocking turn of events, renowned comedian and media personality Mark Agaba—commonly known as Uncle Mark—has made grave accusations against Uganda’s Special Forces Command (SFC) and the presidential convoy. He alleges that their actions culminated in his brother’s violent mistreatment and the devastating loss of his unborn child.
Through an emotional post on Twitter, Mark recounted the distressing circumstances surrounding his brother’s arrest. At the time, his brother was urgently trying to reach his pregnant wife, who required immediate help.
In my communication to @MODVA_UPDF – SFC, I illustrated the traumatic events that derailed my brother’s life. On the day the convoy traversed our town, all vehicles were halted—standard security protocol, which we’ve come to expect.
My brother, on that fateful day, was among those stuck in traffic, trying to rush home after receiving a desperate call from his wife, who had fallen in the bathroom and needed urgent assistance.
Mark detailed that after parking his motorcycle in adherence to the security checks, his brother sought alternative ways to continue on foot. However, as he neared a local police station, SFC soldiers allegedly intercepted him. Reports state he was subjected to substantial physical violence and forcibly confined in the trunk of a vehicle. After two days in custody, he was released with serious injuries, including missing toenails.
Currently, he is on a long road to recovery. Tragically, we lost the baby, but my brother’s wife is healing.
