The dynamic Ugandan music trio B2C—featuring the talented Bobby Lash, Delivad Julio, and Mr. Lee—are gearing up for an unforgettable night, ready to captivate their fans at the much-anticipated concert at Hotel Africana. As they prepare for this exciting event, the trio took a moment to reflect on the highlights of their remarkable musical journey.
For Bobby Lash, one moment shines brighter than the rest—the opportunity to share the stage with the iconic duo Radio and Weasel just before Radio’s untimely departure. “We had just performed two or three of our tracks at Wankulukuku Stadium when the DJ dropped Gutamiiza. Out of nowhere, Mowzey [Radio] jumped right onto the stage—it was electric!” Bobby recounts, his eyes lighting up with nostalgia and pride.
For Mr. Lee, what fills him with the most pride is the unbreakable bond between the group members. “Our journey as a team over the past decade has been what I cherish the most. The unity we’ve cultivated is our greatest achievement,” he reflects, embodying the spirit of brotherhood that defines B2C.
He also fondly recalls the moment they released Gutujja, a song that came at a particularly challenging time. “I hold that song close to my heart because it emerged when we faced many hurdles. After parting ways with our manager, Andy Events, we were in turmoil. However, the moment Gutujja hit the airwaves, everything changed for us,” he shares, a gleam of triumph in his eyes.
As for Delivad Julio, he considers the 2018 Afrimma nomination a delightful surprise and a crowning moment. “We never anticipated that recognition,” he admits, clearly still amazed by the honor.
