The well-loved event host, African Simba, also known as The Game Changer, is preparing for a grand birthday celebration tomorrow, May 8th. This is a departure from his usual tradition of using his birthday as an opportunity to give back to his community.
For many years, Simba has spent his birthdays doing charitable work, focusing on supporting various causes in schools and orphanages.
Last year, Simba made a generous donation of disposable pads to schoolgirls via a charity organization in Mpigi, with the goal of improving menstrual health and keeping girls in school.
However, this year, Simba has decided it’s time to celebrate his own successes. “Every year, I’ve been doing charity work in various orphanages and schools… but this year, I want to finally celebrate myself,” he expressed. “I want to celebrate my achievements with the people I’ve achieved them with, during the various nights that I work.”
Simba’s birthday festivities will kick off with a vibrant bar night at Cat Walk, featuring acclaimed artist Cindy Sanyu as the guest performer.
But the party doesn’t stop there. On Friday, Simba will head to Vault with Fik Fameica, and on Saturday, he will wrap up the weekend at Paradigm with the one and only Pallaso.
This is set to be a weekend of fun, music, and reflection for African Simba, as he takes the time to honor his journey and those who have been there to support him along the way.
