Emerging Ugandan music sensation Azawi has publicly acknowledged the profound influence that producer Kuseim has had on her rapid rise within the industry, crediting much of her success to his unwavering support and mentorship.
In an insightful interview on Kasuku Live, Azawi opened up about her journey, expressing deep gratitude for Kuseim’s role in shaping her musical path. This candid exchange highlighted how essential collaboration can be within the creative realms of the music industry.
Kuseim produced tracks such as “Quinamino,” “Repeat It,” “Slow Dancing,” and “Party Mood.” It’s incredible how fate intertwined our paths, leading to a powerful partnership that significantly impacted my career.
Azawi revealed that many of her popular tracks were written before she finalized her contract with Swangz Avenue, one of Uganda’s top record labels.
Initially, her plan was straightforward: sell these songs to various record labels, including Swangz Avenue, as she forged her identity in the competitive music scene.
At one point, I aimed to sell “Repeat It” for Shs 300k; I was in dire need of that cash and was exploring offers from talent managers, determined to go with whoever could pay the most.
