Harvey Weinstein is firing back, adamantly proclaiming his innocence as he claims to have been unjustly convicted of rape and sexual offenses. In a striking new interview, he unleashes harsh critiques on several celebrity accusers, notably Gwyneth Paltrow.
Marking his first televised interview since his arrest nearly seven years ago, the infamous former Hollywood mogul engaged in an insightful discussion with conservative podcaster Candace Owens. Throughout their conversation, Weinstein cast a critical eye not only on Paltrow but also on other prominent actresses such as Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan.
A preview clip of the interview, shared by Owens, lasts just one minute and twenty seconds. The complete interview is slated to air on Club Candace this Tuesday. In the opening frames, Weinstein is seen in a suit, speaking from incarceration while Owens hosts the discussion from her studio.
With unwavering conviction, Weinstein asserts that he did not “commit these crimes,” declaring his stance “before God and for those watching, as well as for my family.” His passion reveals a man who is resolutely convinced of his innocence.
Continuing his remarks, Weinstein claims that many who support him feel too intimidated to voice their backing publicly due to potential backlash. He acknowledged making a pass at Paltrow but insisted vehemently that he never assaulted her. Paltrow has previously accused him of sexual misconduct during their collaborations on various film projects.
Regarding Judd, Weinstein characterized her allegations as “absurd” and criticized McGowan for discussing their prior $100,000 settlement related to her claims of sexual assault against him.
Weinstein currently finds himself at the center of a retrial concerning his New York rape case, following an overturning of his conviction in April 2024. In 2022, he was found guilty of rape and sexual assault in Los Angeles, resulting in a 16-year prison sentence stemming from that ruling.
