Exciting transformations are on the way for the cherished co-op horror game, REPO, as the innovative team at Semiwork reveals a range of upcoming enhancements. In a captivating video presentation, lead designer Pontus explored substantial upgrades to the game’s health and regeneration systems, unveiling a revolutionary new weapon set to elevate the gameplay to new heights.

In a nod to the notorious health glitch that previously allowed players to spam the “E” key during level transitions—a glitch now mercifully eliminated—Semiwork reassured the community that they are tuning in to player feedback. They are determined to fine-tune both health and crystal balancing, bringing a new dimension to gameplay dynamics. “We’re refining the health system to bolster team healing,” Pontus shared with enthusiasm. “A new team discount for health kits means that the larger your group, the more accessible the kits become. Plus, truck health recovery will be more generous when Semibots return.”

This enhancement allows players below Level 5 to regain 50 HP upon reaching their truck. As players level up, the recovery rate adjusts, dropping to 35 HP for those beyond Level 5, and further declining to 25 HP for players at Level 10 and above.

“We’re also moderating the costs of health kits and crystals to make them more enticing for players,” Pontus elaborated. Such changes underscore Semiwork’s commitment to improving player experience and maintaining balanced, engaging gameplay.

In conjunction with the health system updates, enemy adjustments are also on the agenda. Certain foes, like Robe, pose distinct challenges, particularly as they cannot be stunned with lighter weaponry. To combat this, Semiwork intends to increase the stun vulnerability of enemies at lower levels, leveling the playing field and granting every player a fighting chance.

“We actively monitor popular glitches and mods, as they often indicate areas ripe for improvement or innovation within our game design,” Pontus commented. This proactive stance reflects a deep-seated understanding of the gaming community, illustrating a dedication to creating a vibrant and dynamic gaming experience.

Among the impressive additions are the debut of the Cart Cannon and the Cart Laser—powerful tools that deliver precisely what their names suggest. “We are confident these weapons, alongside other enhancements, will empower your Semibot team effectively,” Pontus concluded with anticipation.
