Jane Bright, the cherished contestant from “Survivor: Nicaragua,” has tragically passed away.
The heartbreaking news was made public through a touching tribute on social media by her daughter, Ashley Hammett, who shared that Jane was discovered unresponsive in her home on Thursday.
Details regarding the cause of her untimely death are still unclear.
A resident of North Carolina, Jane made her mark in the reality TV world by competing in “Survivor: Nicaragua” in 2010, trading her previous path as a dog trainer for the spotlight of reality television.
Her experience on the show won her the admiration of many, culminating in a fan favorite award and a commendable $100,000 in prize money, where she finished 6th out of 20 contestants as a member of the Espada tribe.
Fellow contestants have expressed their condolences and shared fond memories of her. Notably, Sandra Diaz-Twine reflected on her loss with the words, “rest in heavenly peace,” while Todd Herzog added, “Love you Jane! Always in our hearts!”
