In a bold initiative that has ignited discussions among fans, A Pass held a unique concert on January 31st, exclusively featuring female artists. This choice raised questions about the lack of male performers, especially given his history of collaborations with well-known male acts like Ykee Benda.

I wanted to stand out as the only male presence on that stage. If you’re keen, you’ll notice that only female artists performed at my show.

Among the performers were talented women like Likkle Bangi and Lilian Mbabazi, with the event opening by the all-female group Warafiki. This exclusive lineup not only surprised some audience members but also created a stir among A Pass’s collaborative partner, Ykee Benda.

Even though their professional rapport is strong, Ykee Benda didn’t take the stage that night. A Pass clarified this decision by stating, “I didn’t invite Ykee Benda because I wanted to have only female artists. It wasn’t personal; I just wanted to be the singular male presence.”

Despite the all-female cast, A Pass acknowledged and appreciated the support he received from male artists in the audience. Notably, singer Elijah Kitaka attended, even going the extra mile by purchasing a table at the event. A Pass commended this support, stating, “That kind of backing means a lot.”
