FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons have made headlines by officially adding linebacker Caleb Johnson to their roster as of Monday.

Johnson, who has spent the previous three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, secured his spot after impressing the coaching staff during a recent tryout at the team’s rookie minicamp.

Having started his NFL career with the Chicago Bears in 2021, Johnson played a single season there before establishing himself with the Jaguars. Over the course of his four seasons in the league, he has participated in 65 games, primarily contributing on special teams.

In other news, the Falcons have opted to release wide receiver Phillip Dorsett II.
