Emerging artist Anknown recently opened up about a troubling experience involving renowned producer and musician Daddy Andre, alleging that he took his money and vanished without delivering the promised track.
In a heartfelt interview on *The Deep Talk*, Anknown recounted the journey of scraping together a whopping Shs 1 million, with hopes of advancing his budding music career through a collaboration with Daddy Andre, an artist he deeply admired.
During our meeting, he insisted on receiving the full payment upfront. Typically, we would have put down a 50% deposit, but we trusted him and paid the entire amount as he requested.
Reportedly, at that time, Daddy Andre was associated with Spice Diana’s studio, 32 Records. It was before Anknown had seen any major success in his musical journey.
However, shortly after transferring the funds, the situation took a turn for the worse.
He vanished like a ghost! When we attempted to reach him again, his phone was switched off. I’m not sure if he blocked me, but we kept calling and even visited 32 studio. There, we were informed he no longer worked there and that we should’ve asked for a receipt.
Despite feeling betrayed, Anknown shared that his initial trust in Daddy Andre stemmed from admiration.
I truly appreciated Andre and believed he was a man of integrity. To this day, I still demand the song I paid for.
