In a surprising turn of events, Simon Fuller, the mastermind behind “American Idol,” finds his 16-year-long marriage coming to a dramatic close. His wife has officially filed for divorce.
Taking decisive action, Natalie Fuller made her way to court just days ago, officially filing for divorce after more than a decade and a half of marriage.
According to paperwork obtained by Nova Play, Natalie has stated that Friday marks their date of separation, citing the often-used reason of “irreconcilable differences” for the divorce.
The couple tied the knot back in May 2008 and together they became parents to three wonderful children—a 14-year-old and two lively 9-year-old twins.

Natalie is pursuing joint legal custody of their children. Additionally, she’s requested spousal support but also wants to prevent any chance of the court granting similar support to Simon.
Interestingly, it seems that Simon and Natalie had entered into a prenuptial agreement prior to their marriage.
We’ve reached out to Simon’s representatives for comment, but as of now, we’re still in the dark regarding his response.
