Celebrated singer Mansur Ssemanda, famously known as King Saha, is making headlines for taking a stand against online slander. Through his legal advisors, E. Wambi Advocates and Solicitors, he has formally announced his intention to sue TikTok star Ismail Ssefuko, better recognized as Dr. Cephco, alleging defamation.
The legal notice reveals that on May 5th, Dr. Cephco allegedly published a damaging and unfounded claim on his TikTok account, accusing King Saha of vandalizing his silver Toyota Noah, registration number UBP 661Q.
These sharp accusations are described as reckless and maliciously intended to tarnish King Saha’s character and public image, especially considering he was out of the country at the time of the alleged incident.
At the time, King Saha was in Japan fulfilling scheduled commitments, a fact that can be proven through his travel documentation.
In light of the distress caused to his reputation, King Saha’s legal team is demanding Dr. Cephco to pay a whopping Shs 200 million (Two Hundred Million) as compensation within a tight seven-day deadline.
Additionally, Dr. Cephco is instructed to publicly apologize and retract his defamatory remarks on all social media platforms where they were shared.
The repercussions for further defamation are serious, requiring Dr. Cephco to halt any additional negative statements regarding King Saha and to provide a written confirmation affirming his compliance with these demands.
