Maro confirms being involved in a car crash, which had his daughter stuck in the car for over 30 minutes. It took the help of the locals to rescue his daughter as he helplessly looked on, with tears rolling down his face.

The singer reveals that the impact of the accident not only trapped his daughter but also had broken glass around her eyes.

On the 20th of April, I received the best gift, and it got me to thank God for every heartbeat of my daughter because my daughter was with me in the incident.

We thank God that we followed the rules of putting her in the child seat, so it saved my daughter. She was stuck in the car for over 30 minutes, and the locals helped us get out of the car.

In the car, he narrates, everyone escaped with minor injuries except his friend’s wife, who was seriously injured and needed to be airlifted in a helicopter to receive medical care in Lusaka.

He rules out being hospitalised and in a coma, explaining that his absence on social media to clarify on the matter was because he lost his phone in the incident, and that he was suffering mentally.

To clarify, I wasn’t in a coma. I was nursing the wounds of my daughter, I was battling a case with the police, and I was battling mentally. I couldn’t think of the phone that I lost.

Maro takes the incident to be an example of God’s goodness, and he believes that it was God’s protection that they survived.

He also thanks his fans for their prayers.

I want to thank everyone who poured their hearts out in prayer, even when they had little information about what was going on. In a day of social media, being away from your fans and platforms is already considered death. I wasn’t around, of course, something was wrong.
